AI, CS, Majors, and Careers
You’re likely thinking a lot about your major / potential major, career plans, and how AI may impact all that. I say a little about that in the first lecture, and much more in another lecture late in the semester. But I also want to share another perspective with you. Hopefully it’s not too ironic that I asked Google Gemini what it thinks about AI in relation to majors and careers. As always, verify anything that AI tells you, but I think you may find the transcript of my conversation to be an interesting read. In it, I’m pretending to be a student in EECS 183 Python, having just completed lecture 10.
